Last Call is an independent film that follows Ben (David Allen Norton) who receives an unprompted call from Cassie (Izzy Kaplan). As their conversation progresses, it becomes clear that something is wrong.

I filmed this independent short after receiving a concept from Ash Cohan along with a monologue that serves as Cassie’s dialogue. From there, we decided to focus on a no-budget production, gathering close friends to act as crew and make the film in one night.

Utilizing the equipment at our disposal along with a supportive and dedicated cast, we filmed the major conversation in less than five hours and captured two hours of B-Roll earlier in the day. Then, my excitement and eagerness to complete the film led me to edit the whole cut overnight, resulting in a 24-hour production. While it was one of the quickest turnarounds I’ve experienced, I do believe that with the care put into this project, it turned out to be very personal and special.
